McGill-Toolen jumped on the board early Friday night, but the Murphy Panthers never followed suit. The Yellowjackets took the game with ease, bagging a 50-0 victory over the Panthers. All 50 points were scored in the first three quarters, leaving the forth quarter a scoreless one.
The win took McGill-Toolen back to an even 1-1. As for Murphy, they’re going through a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) leaving them 0-2 for the 2025 season.
There’s plenty of inter-regional action left as McGill-Toolen is set to face Theodore, 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5th. Meanwhile, Murphy will take on rival Blount (0-2) 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
