Great Day Latte Host Solutions-Based event in downtown Mobile

Date:

Great Day Latte held a community-based event at their 10 S. Conception Street location, Thursday, August 28th. This event, entitled The Plug To A Better Community aimed to gather, connect and share ideas on building centralized resource directories for youth in the City of Mobile and surrounding areas.

This event is a continuation of community activism. In June, the owner of Great Day Latte, Kimberly Knight, held the first of such meetings, From Conflict to Community.

Inspired by violence in the city, Great Day Latte’s From Conflict to Community event and The Plug To A Better Community event was well attended, demonstrating individual’s and organization’s commitment and acknowledgment that Mobile lacks accessible-streamlined resource directories for the youth.
