Town Hall on Gun Violence

Date:

The City of Mobile conducted a town hall meeting on gun violence on Thursday, April 10th.

Mobile City Council President C.J. Smalls met with his District 3 constituents at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church to discuss their experiences with gun and youth violence.

Community members also heard from a panel of local public safety, police, Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS) and health services officials on initiatives to reduce and prevent community harm through gun violence.

Smalls, joined by councilmembers Gina Gregory, Cory Penn and William Carroll, stayed after the panel discussion to speak directly with community members. Mobile City Council says it looks forward to continuing conversations around community development.
