Congressman Figures hold inaugural Town Hall Meeting

Congressman Shomari C. Figures held a nightly Town Hall Meeting at Bishop State Community College Monday, March 17th.


The topics ranged from voter suppression acts by state policy mandates, local financial woes, forced deportations to federal initiatives like DOGE headed by Elon Musk.

There was an overzealous crowd that participating in Figures’ first Town Hall meeting since being elected to Alabama’s newest congressional district.

With the upper part of Mobile County included in the new 2nd District, and Figures, born-and-raised in Mobile, it was not surprising to have his inaugural address at home.
