Local business owners Marrico Simpson and Houston Owens held King’s Grooming Lounge’s first barbering Workshop and Battle of the Barbers.
This experience proved to be a fun, innovative way to educate young aspiring barbers on proper business etiquette, creative techniques and styles, and ofcourse proper hygienic methods such as clipper sterilization, area cleanliness and adorning personal protective equipment like gloves.
Hosted by Mobile’s very own Dre’ Day, the BXL Barber Experience: Round 1 was a hit!
Judges included: Ms. Ashley Young, Mr. Eric Thompson-Chairman of Mobile’s Barber Commission, Mr. Boneface Johnson, Mr. Tony Davis, Ms. Brittany “BMac” McConico.
