Alvin Jarreau Jr’s ‘FOR HER’ Women’s Appreciation Event

Date:

Alvin Jarreau Jr. is continuing to expand his footprint of curated social spaces under his local brand, The Jarreau Effect. The latest iteration of his “For Her” ladies’ appreciation night took place on Wednesday, October 21, at Great Day Latte – Downtown Mobile.

In the immediate foreground, the backs of three curved, orange velvet stools with gold-colored frames are visible. The middle ground features a black coffee table with a small floral arrangement next to a dark gray lounge sofa. In the background, a large decorative balloon arch in orange, gold, and maroon stands against an exposed brick wall next to framed artwork.

Jarreau designed the night out without an underlying agenda, to create a relaxed space for local women to connect. The evening featured complimentary wine service, charcuterie, and music by Markes Johnson

The timing of the October 21 gathering gave the night some extra meaning for the community, falling right in the middle of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

October is usually packed with pink ribbon walks and high-energy awareness events all over Mobile, so the gathering gave local women a quiet spot to pause, connect, and catch their breath together.

Instead of just a one-off night out, the “For Her” appreciation event at Great Day Latte was a direct preview for Jarreau’s next downtown event.

From left to right: the first woman wears a green patterned sweater dress with dark knee-high boots; the second wears a long-sleeved white top and a plaid skirt; the third wears a white short-sleeved top and striped shorts; the fourth wears a sleeveless red jumpsuit and metallic sandals. The window of the brightly lit venue is visible behind them.
