Mobile Police Department is hosting its annual Crime Prevention 5K Run/Walk Tuesday, August 4, 2026, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Centering around Bienville Square as the official location for registration, race-day packet pickup, and a lively post-race celebration, the event brings together local law enforcement, families, competitive runners, and casual walkers alike.

The core mission remains focused on strengthening police-community partnerships and raising vital awareness for local safety initiatives.

If you are looking to get your packet early, pre-registered participants and last-minute sign-ups can head over to the Port City Pacers office at 358 Morgan Avenue today, Monday, August 3, from noon to 5:30 p.m.

For anyone catching things right on race day, registration and packet pickup will be open directly in Bienville Square from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., with on-site entry priced at $25 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under.

Crossing the finish line leads straight into a post-race party featuring food and beverages. All registered participants are eligible for the many fantastic door prizes, though you must be present to win. Keep in mind that to be eligible specifically for the grand door prize of two airline tickets, you must be pre-registered by August 4.

Whether you are running for time or walking with neighbors, it is a great chance to connect with local officers and support a safer community.
