The Mobile County Republican Party celebrated the grand opening of their headquarters in the Pinebrook Shopping Center on Monday, September 21st at 5:30pm. The event featured candidates like Jerry Carl, Republican candidate for Alabama’s 1st Congressional District, and Chris Pringle, Republican candidate for re-election in District 101.
According to Acting & Vice Chairman, Stuart Lang, Chris Pringle originally had his headquarters at the building in Pinebrook then got together with Jerry Carl and the Mobile County Republican Party to share the space at 3964 Airport Boulevard. “We’ve been here multiple times so it’s a familiar place for everybody,” said Lang.
The office will be open to the public with hours posted as Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 6:00pm, with additional Saturday hours from 9:00 in the morning until noon. “This is just a building full of people who are wanting a Republican red ticket in November,” said Lang. He noted the space has the capacity for future community events, small party meetings, storage and serving as the “starting point” for foot traffic in public.
Jerry Carl agreed on the importance of a central location. “You know, having a headquarters set up that we all share is very important because when someone comes to pick up a state [representative] sign, you know, they see a Jerry Carl sign, and they’ll pick a Jerry Carl sign up,” he said. “We’ve got – what, about 43 days left – and we’re booked everyday in one or more places,” he added.
During a speech given at the event, Carl said that “Mobile will continue to grow, Mobile is no longer a well-kept secret.” He noted upcoming concerns in Mobile as the bridge construction and keeping a constant eye on the ship channels. “I want to keep my children here, I want my grandchildren to have a place, a reason to stay here in Mobile,” he said.
Chris Pringle shared an optimism for the city: “We are on the right path. We are growing the state of Alabama, we are creating jobs, we are creating the opportunity for small businesses to grow, our children to get educated, and stay here in Alabama and work,” he said.
According to his campaign website, Jerry Carl is a Mobile-native entrepreneur focused on creating jobs and growth. He is a supporter of Second Amendment rights, a pro-life advocate, and proponent of Christian values. In his campaign, he aims to “work hand-in-hand with the Trump Administration to bring America into a new Golden Age”. Additionally, his focuses include fighting inflation, increasing care for veterans, advocating for farmers, defending Second Amendment rights, and immigration control. Similarly, Chris Pringle’s campaign website declares his commitment to economic growth, workforce development and fiscal responsibility.
As the election nears, Carl urges the community to make sure they vote. “Don’t give up your right to vote. Every vote counts. Get up, vote, vote on the third. You know, I’d prefer you vote for me but vote! There’s a lot of people that sacrifice so much for us to have this right to vote and we need to vote,” he said.
The general election will take place on November 3rd, 2026. The deadline to register to vote or update voter information is October 19th. The absentee/mail-in ballot request deadline is October 29th in-person or October 27th by mail. Polls will be open from 7:00am to 7:00pm on election day.
